Shannon Harbour Rally 2014
01 July 2014

The annual canal boat rally took place over the mid-summer week-end with a good attendance and fair weather for the event. Commodore was Gerry Burke on the much travelled 68M who performed his duties to the expected high standard with all participants in a holiday mood. The fleet was enhanced by a number of the canal boats which Waterways Ireland had recently disposed of and hopefully these fine craft will participate in future Shannon Harbour rallies.

The younger folk were kept busy with the usual keenly contested competitions and a novel competion involving sods of turf generated huge interest.
