River Rats Calendar has completely sold out and the income figure has gone over the ten thousand euro mark. This has been an outstanding project and the result is way above expectations. The handover of funds to the Irish Cancer society will occur on May 18th at 5pm in the Waterways Ireland Visitor Centre, Grand Canal Docks. This will be a memorable occasion so don't miss it.

The Royal Canal event is fast drawing to a conclusion and we would like to thank the communities and individuals along the route who have given  assistence to the fleet. Members should also be preparing for a Summer event - HBA 13 @ Athlone, which is our first in this important waterways town. Date is from 12th to 18th of August and not to be missed. Considerable groundwork has been put in place and the event organisers are at this point looking for skippers to confirm their attendance.
