| Jamestown Heritage Festival update |

Little did we know 6 years ago in 2006 that the 4 biggest events to be held in Ireland in 2012 would be water themed. Cork will commemorate the centenary of the Titanic, the Volvo Ocean Race returns to Galway, Dublin hosts the Tall Ships and in Leitrim the Jamestown Heritage Festival will take place with the largest gathering of Heritage barges and boats ever seen on the Irish Waterways. Using HBA parlance there are 33 heavy metal and 22 light metal and woodworms committed so far. Invites are still going out, but please spread the word in case anyone has been overlooked owing to lack of contact details. The festival starts on Friday 27th July 2012 and finishes on Monday 6th August 2012. Our website details will be released by the end of March and the nearly finalised, but still draft, programme will be available within 2 weeks. Cormac Kenny (76m at oceanfree dot net)
