Heritage Week Update

To mark the start of Heritage Week 2016 the HBA fleet will be in Richmond Harbour, Clondra, from Friday 19^th to Sunday 21^st August.

The boats will be on display in the harbour over the weekend. On Saturday afternoon the crews will be on the quayside to meet with visitors and to talk about the boats and the heritage of the waterways. 

Next year, 2017, marks the 200 year anniversary of the opening of the Royal Canal to the Shannon. This event will also promote next year’s celebrations. 

An added bonus this weekend is the 170th birthday of ex-Steam Yacht Chang Sha, which will be on view in the harbour.  Be sure and wish her a happy birthday.
