HBA CIC events for 2016.

Inland Navigations of Ireland Historical Society Conference in partnership with IWAI & HBA

Hugh Lynch's Function Room, Tullamore.  Sat. 12th March 2016.  10am – 5pm. 

The talks this year will focus on the Mid Shannon area.

Kildare IWAI  Branch Easter Rally -  25th - 28th of March 2016 (Inviting the HBA to participate)

Meeting at Allenwood cruising to Robertstown on the Sunday. 

Possibility of linking up with some of the Old Boatmen over this weekend.

Dublin - Possible Easter Monday run on the Liffey to tie in with 1916 celebrations.

Dublin IWAI Rally.  (Inviting the HBA to participate)

Easter Rising event – 23rd April (probably a week around this date).

April 29th to 2nd May – Royal Canal (12th Lock) to Grand Canal Dock.
6th  to 8th May – Grand Canal (12th Lock) to Grand Canal Dock
7th  to 21st May, including the WI Docklands Festival (13-15th May).

Lough Allen – Leitrim Village – Lough Key – Carnadoe / Grange Waters – Drumsna.

Weekend 10/11th July boats start arriving Drumshambo / Acres Lake.
Week 16th  to 23rd  July Joe Mooney Festival for boats wanting to attend
Monday 25th July start of CIC on Lough Allen
Friday 29th and Saturday 30th July - WI Green/Blueway trail with overnight(s) in Leitrim village
Sunday 31st to Tuesday 2nd Aug Lough Key
Wednesday 3rd Aug to Friday 5th Aug Carnadoe / Grange etc.
Friday 5th Aug to Sunday 7th Aug Drumsna….end of CIC

Heritage Week  (20th – 28th August 2016)

Still in the planning stages, but possibly an event north of Lough Ree, to be confirmed later.
