Another in the series of HBA School Booklets was launched on Wednesday, 12th June. This latest booklet involved the 5th class boys from O'Connell Primary School in Dublin. A great effort by all involved and a lovely ceremony took place at "Edmund Rice House", North Circular Road.

This is the second booklet published in collaboration with a primary school on the Royal Canal route. After the Ballymahon, County Longford book, the HBA worked with O'Connell Primary School in Dublin. This booklet is the culmination of many weeks' work; it explored the heritage and wildlife of the Royal Canal and included a field trip where the workings of a lock were explained to the pupils.

Many thanks for the support from their Teachers, Ms. Boyle and Mr. Conlan and from the Principal Mr. O'Keefe.

Book production was kindly supported by Waterways Ireland.
