The Rambler recreated her former travels along the Royal Canal, skippered by John Connon Jr and crewed by John Connon Sr, Evan Connon and Ben Treacy. The celebrated veteran broadcaster, writer and naturalist Dick Warner was on board to make the new Waterways series, titled “Waterways - The Final Journey”. This is a Tile Films’ production directed by Stephen Rooke, the award winning director and is scheduled for release in August.

The Irish Times Magazine has featured a couple of articles on the Grand Canal in the past month IT Barge Dwellers looks at living on the water in Dublin. A range of people representing different aspects of the Grand Canal were interviewed for IT Canal Boat Living
