On Thursday June 9th 2011, THE RAMBLER went through the Iarnrod Eireann/CIE lifting bridge on Royal Canal at noon. The HBA’s reporter at the scene, Joe Treacy states, “at 11:41 they were dropping the levels for Sheriff Street Bridge - looking good - at 11:51 the Railway bridge was lifted and the camera crew is in the first lock, and at 12:00 she made her way under the bridge!”

***** BANAGHER CHOSEN FOR HERITAGE BOAT CELEBRATIONS *****

The Heritage Boat Association’s tenth anniversary celebrations took place from May 28th until June 6th. Everyone who got there by boat, corracle, car and walking will agree it was a great week followed by a fabulous weekend. We will be adding images to both the Event and Members' Photos sections over the next few weeks, as we get them.
