In 1929 the Corporation of Dublin published ‘A Book of Dublin’

Among these pages are two advertisements of interest to Irish barge owners.

One is for the Dublin Dockyard Company, ‘builders of all classes of vessels up to 400 feet’. The other is for the Ringsend Dockyard (Dublin) Limited, ‘Shipbuilders – barges, tugs, dredgers, pontoons, floating craft of every description.......’.

These ads can be seen here HBA Boatyards and Boatbuilders II - Dublin.

Thanks to Michael Slevin, Dublin Branch of the IWAI, for forwarding these illustrations.
