Exploring the Rockville Navigation continues. On September 8th Cllr Luke (Ming) Flanagan, Mayor of County Roscommon, met up with Brian Goggin. Later with a companion, he descended the Rockville Navigation by kayak, from the 1765 bridge to Grange. The trip took a little over two hours. Brian reports “he liked it and hopes to get the Council interested in it”.

More information on the Rockville Navigation on the Irish Waterways History site IWH Rockville Navigation.
Here are some photographs taken by Brian at the start and finish of the expedition.
