Because of the long, long winter this year, it felt incongruous to be travelling along the canal on Saturday in glorious sunshine after a spectacular sunrise, with the trees and shrubs bare.
Our current youngest and newest member of the HBA, now 24 days old, looked very content yesterday as he viewed the fleet at Mespil Road, from his comfortable position beside the tiller; the journey from Edenderry to Dublin appears to have thoroughly agreed with him.
